Training this week (Tues 5May)

May 5th, 2009

Another big week of training just past, and things are really stepping up. The biggest sign that the tempo is lifting was the appearance of Camp Commandant Tulauskas. On Saturday, Allan - the newest edition to the club – was given an introduction to Catherine’s knee and was sent to hospital for stitches to a wound that was described by some as “gaping”. Catherine was overheard describing it as a “scratch”. Let that be a warning to all those considering staying at home this week…

Tuesday Night Training – 5 May 2009 (8.00pm - 10.00pm)

Luwan Stadium on Jianguo Lu (between Shaanxi Lu & Ruijin Lu)

Saturday Afternoon Training – 9 May 2009 (1.00pm – 3.00pm)

Shanghai SRFC, Waigaoqiao

Note: Free Blarney Bus departs from Blarney Stone at 12noon.

Have a great week and we will see you around the grounds.

INTERNATIONAL RULES – ANZAC DAY SHOWDOWN

April 21st, 2009

This Saturday marks the start of the annual International Rules Series against the Shanghai Tigers AFL team. This is an important encounter in our building as a team and last year, we won the clash by 75 points. We have only lost once in three years, but this year the Tigers are looking much stronger and it will be a tough assignment for the Shanghai Saints.

International Rules mixes the best of Gaelic Football with the best of Australian Rules football in a bruising, fast-paced and exciting spectacle. It is sure to be entertaining and there is certain to be plenty of craic on and off the pitch (notably afterwards), so we urge everyone to come on down. We will need the support if we are to maintain our winning record.
